Christmas in Mangalore

Beneath the starlit hush where carols roam,
Christ’s mercy hums in bells and softened prayer;
From midnight choirs to hearts that journey home,
His love descends like grace upon the air.
Tinsel-ed trees tremble with a laughing light,
Cribs cradle hope in straw and whispered awe;
The Child who gilds our fragile mortal night
Rewrites the world with peace as sacred law.
Along Mangalorean lanes, spice-warm cheer
Spills from the shops where cinnamon dreams rise;
Plum cake, sea-breeze, laughter—close and dear,
While faith glows amber in familiar eyes.
May joy find you where wonder gently stays—
This Christmas, and through all your coming days.
